(NewsNation) — Conservative commentator Bill O’Reilly criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her stance on economic equality, comparing her rhetoric to that of communist leaders.

In a Monday interview on NewsNation’s “On Balance,” O’Reilly said Harris “believes that the government of the United States can engineer personal outcomes, which is insane. It’s never worked.”

O’Reilly drew parallels between Harris’ statements and those of historical communist figures, including Stalin, Mao, Castro and Xi Jinping. However, he emphasized he was not equating Harris to these leaders personally.

The former Fox News host also addressed former President Donald Trump‘s campaign strategy, suggesting Trump lacks discipline in messaging. O’Reilly advised Trump to focus on economic issues and border security to counter the Biden-Harris administration.

Regarding an upcoming interview between Trump and Elon Musk, O’Reilly predicted it would be a “love fest,” citing Musk’s financial support for Trump’s campaign.

O’Reilly also mentioned a recent threat from a European Union official to Musk over potential disinformation in the Trump interview, calling it an attempt to “censor an American interview.”
