Robert F. Kennedy Jr. unleashed fury over being left out of the debate conversation after former President Trump agreed to go up against President Biden on stage.

The independent candidate suggested that denying him access to the debates is a knock against democracy in a country that values free speech and the exchange of political ideas.

He went as far as to say that the Democratic and Republican nominees are “colluding” against him for the June 27 debate hosted by CNN.

“Presidents Trump and Biden are colluding to lock America into a head-to-head match-up that 70% say they do not want,” Kennedy wrote Wednesday on the social platform X.

“They are trying to exclude me from their debate because they are afraid I would win. Keeping viable candidates off the debate stage undermines democracy,” he wrote.

Kennedy, an environmental lawyer polling in the double digits, has called for a three-person forum against his two general election rivals, noting the major parties’ candidates are both unpopular with key demographics and that he should be able to appear as a third option in front of an audience.

Throughout his third-party campaign, Kennedy has maintained that both Biden and Trump have created the majority of what he sees as the country’s current issues around the economy, health care and foreign policy. He has pushed for a debate to bring those viewpoints into the public consciousness.

“By excluding me from the stage, Presidents Biden and Trump seek to avoid discussion of their eight years of mutual failure including deficits, wars, lockdowns, chronic disease, and inflation,” Kennedy added in his post.
