PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A pod of pelicans was caught on camera chasing after a dolphin earlier this week in Pinellas County waters.

The drone video, captured by NewsNation affiliate WFLA viewer John Yanchoris, shows the dolphin off the Dunedin Causeway swimming away from the birds.

Four pelicans dip into the water, as two more fly in, continuing to follow the dolphin and appearing to nip at the animal.

Yanchoris said the dolphin seemed to be chasing fish, and that the pelicans wanted him to share.
