GREEN BAY, Wis. (NewsNation Now) — The Green Bay Packers carry a legacy and story unlike most other professional sports teams, let alone the National Football League. 

Playing in the smallest of the NFL. cities, Green Bay, Wisconsin, the Packers organization was established 99 years ago, owned by the Green Bay residents/ shareholders, and is run as a non-profit corporation. 

NewsNation’s Joe Donlon talked with Green Bay Packers CEO Mark Murphy this week in a wide-ranging conversation from playing football during the coronavirus pandemic to paying college football players. A day after this interview aired, the 4-0 Packers announced that fans will not be allowed at Lambeau Field until Wisconsin’s COVID-19 infection rate improves.
