Falcons Hire Rams Assistant as Strength & Conditioning Coach

Atlanta Falcons coach Raheem Morris continues to round out his staff with another Los Angeles Rams assistant.

New Atlanta Falcons coach Raheem Morris is getting closer and closer to completing his staff, and now he's landed one of the most-underrated pieces of any staff.

According to 247Sports, the Falcons are expected to hire Los Angeles Rams associate director of strength and conditioning John Griffin in a lead strength and conditioning role.

Griffin, 35, worked with Morris for the entirety of the latter's three-year tenure with the Rams, starting as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2021 before earning a promotion last offseason. With Morris bringing over several Rams assistants with him to Atlanta, Griffin fits right in with the club.

Previously, Griffin also worked in strength and conditioning at both Baylor and South Carolina.

As a player, Griffin spent time at both Northeastern and Massachusetts in college. He spent a brief amount of time in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Jets, but his only regular season action came as a special teams player with the Jets in 2012.
