Former Giants Receiver's Son Commits to Notre Dame

Plaxico Burress's son has picked where he will play his college ball.

As New York Giants fans everywhere fondly recall memories of the team's past Super Bowl triumphs, the son of one of the heroes of those championship teams has chosen where he will play college ball.

That would be Elijah Burress, son of Super Bowl XLII hero Plaxico Burress. The younger Burress, 6-1 and 170 pounds and a receiver like his dad, has committed to playing college ball at Notre Dame.

The younger Burress played his high school ball at DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey.

His father, who played his college ball at Michigan State, went on to have an 11-year NFL career, including six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2000-2004, 2012), four with the Giants (including Super Bowl XLII), and one with the Jets (2011).
