NFL Network Confirms Our Report On Raiders, Brady

When the National Football League rejected the partial ownership bid of Tom Brady previously, we have maintained from sources in the Las Vegas Raiders that it wasn't dead.

LAS VEGAS, Nev.--When the National Football League rejected the bid of the greatest player of all time (GOAT), Tom Brady, to become a partial owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, we quickly told you what was next.

We reported then and have maintained that Brady's bid was not a matter of if but when.  He and owner Mark Davis were one hundred percent committed to a deal getting down, and that one would.'

As one source inside the Raiders building told us, and we previously reported, "Tom (Brady) is 100% involved, and Mark (Davis) is as well; it isn't a matter of if, but when.  It's going to happen.'

As I've previously reported, Brady has been at Raiders practices multiple times.

The NFL Network, via Ian Rapoport, has confirmed our report and offered more details.

Per Rapoport, "Future HOF QB Tom Brady is finally on track to become a #Raiders limited partner, with the NFL Annual Meeting in Orlando the likely time for final approval, sources say."

More details have emerged about the deal.

Per Sportico, "The Raiders talks reignited early last year, when Brady retired for good, and the agreement (at the 2022 price) was announced in May, pending league approval. It quickly drew objections from some members of the league’s finance committee, sources said. There were initial concerns about whether Brady buying in might be a conflict if he calls games for Fox next year—would he, for example, participate in the pre-game team meetings organized by broadcasters? (Fox’s NFL package skews toward NFC teams, and its top crew didn’t call a Raiders game in 2023.)"

Additional reported by Ian Rapoport & Tom Pelissero adds, "Brady's pending investment in the Raiders was recently altered to reflect the proper valuation of the team, and league sources say he has reached the threshold to clear the NFL's hurdles and officially join the ranks of ownership."

The NFL Draft will be held in Detroit, Mich., on April 25-27, 2024. The Las Vegas Raiders currently hold the No. 13 overall pick.
