TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Southwest flight attendant was filmed serenading passengers on a recent flight but his song choice got mixed reviews.

Passenger Ronn Vigh told Storyful that the flight attendant started singing a version of Brian McKnight’s “Back At One” before a flight from Los Angeles to Oakland.

While some passengers clapped along, Vign said he wasn’t a fan.

“It’s an inappropriate song … on the plane because in the music video for it, the singer dies in a plane crash and comes back as a ghost,” he said.

Vigh’s clip shows the attendant singing the line “Make you fall in love with me/If ever I believe my work is done.”

In the “Back At One” music video, McKnight plays a passenger on a plane that is about to crash. The video shows him making one last on-board phone call to the woman he loves.

In a 1999 interview with MTV, McKnight explained the video’s plot.

“I don’t know if you’ve ever seen, like, John Woo’s movies … in ‘Face/Off,’ like, they have this great big shooting scene and the kid is listening to ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow.’ It’s got that same kind of effect … so it’s really kind of emotional,” he said.
