SPOKANE, Wash (NewsNation Now) — Three months after being canceled, the long-running reality show “Cops” is back in production.

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Department confirmed “Cops” film crews were riding with deputies throughout their shifts in a statement released Wednesday. The film crews had worked with the Spokane County deputies before, the department said.

Paramount Network postponed the premiere of show’s 33rd season after the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis sparked nationwide protests, then cancelled the show June 9, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show first originally aired from March 1989 until it’s cancelation in June.

The “Cops” film crew will ride with the Spokane County deputies until the first week of November.

The new season is not set to air anywhere in the United States, THR said. A spokesperson for Langley Productions told THR that the episodes are being filmed to fulfill commitments in international territories where the show still airs.
