SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)—A Louisiana non-profit Gingerbread House Children’s Advocacy Center is hosting a Back-to-School Luau for children who need school supplies.
The Gingerbread House is a community-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that collaborates with local law enforcement, child protective services, the district attorney’s offices, and medical and mental health professionals to serve abused children and their families.
According to their social media, patrons can ‘donate common school supplies, such as backpacks, lunch boxes, index cards, folders (all colors), USB drives, composition books, loose-leaf paper, pencil pouches, and more’ by July 15.
Patrons can buy items from their curated ‘Amazon Wish List,’ stating that items bought through their list will be delivered directly to the Gingerbread House.
The Gingerbread House notes that donors can drop off or ship items directly to the non-profit at 1700 Buckner Square, Suite 101, Shreveport.
