ATLANTA (WSAV) – The last fugitive wanted in connection to Operation Ghost Busted is now in custody.

Special agents for FBI Atlanta, working closely with FBI Phoenix and law enforcement partners in Mexico, captured David Young Saturday in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. 

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Young by the United States District Court, Southern District of Georgia, on Dec. 8, 2022. Young was wanted for charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute a controlled substance.

The Operation Ghost Busted drug case saw 76 people indicted in January 2023. The case remains the largest indictment in Southern District of Georgia history. 

Young has been brought back to the United States following his arrest.
