MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman faces 10 counts of aggravated assault after Memphis Police say she stole from numerous stores, including $6 worth of clothing from Family Dollar.
Honesti Howard, 21, three counts of Theft of Property $1,000 or less and 10 counts of Aggravated Assault.
Her bond is set at $210,000.
On June 30, at around 10 a.m., two women, one being Howard, allegedly walked into Kroger on Truse Parkway and stole $500 worth of items. When employees tried to stop them, one of the women pulled out a gun and said, “Don’t get your White [expletive] shot. You gonna die over this product. I’m coming back to shoot your White [expletive].”
They reportedly fled in a gray Nissan Rogue.
At around 5 p.m., the suspects went to Family Dollar on Knight Arnold. Police say they stole $6 worth of clothing. When confronted by employees, one of the women pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot.
Sunday, a little after 11 a.m., two women stole nearly $300 in groceries from SuperLo on Perkins Road. When approached by employees, one of the women pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot them.
Officers found the gray Nissan Rogue on South Mendenhall and recognized Howard.
While in custody, Howard allegedly admitted to MPD that she was involved in the thefts. However, she stated that Ameshia Taylor was responsible for pulling out the gun and threatening the employees.
Honesti Howard is set to appear in court Monday morning.
