LAKE CHARLES, L.A. (NewsNation) — New drone footage gives an inside look at the destruction caused by Hurricane Laura.

The drone shows a high rise building with majority of its windows broken. Damage can be seen inside of the building as well.

The video slowly pans to show power lines and fallen trees on the street of a residential area in Lake Charles. Debris can also be seen scattered among the ground.

Hurricane Laura, now a tropical storm in southern Arkansas, made landfall just after midnight Wednesday in Texas and Louisiana. It’s one of the strongest storms to ever hit Louisiana, joining the ranks of the hard-hitting 1957 Hurricane Audrey.

President Donald Trump is expected to visit the Gulf Coast this weekend to survey the damage caused by Laura.
