KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Now that the Kansas City Chiefs are back-to-back Super Bowl champions, the Kingdom is preparing for another parade.
For Kansas City-area school districts, that means many are once again planning to cancel classes Wednesday to allow students and staff to join the celebration.
Independence School District and Kansas City Public Schools announced even before the Chiefs won that they would cancel classes for a parade.
But Olathe Public Schools isn’t following suit. The district told teachers that, parade or not, the plan is to have school Wednesday, pointing to the number of snow days Olathe has already taken.
According to Olathe’s calendar, Wednesday is a planned half-day for the district followed by two days off on Thursday and Friday.
Now that the Chiefs have won the Super Bowl, here are all the districts we know have canceled class for an upcoming parade.
