GALLATIN, Tenn. (NewsNation Now) — A squirrel caused a large power outage in Gallatin, Tennessee Sunday, according to the Gallatin Department of Electricity.

Officials said via Facebook a squirrel got on top of a breaker at the city substation. It caused a large outage fault that interrupted power to about 11,000 customers.

The outages were first reported on Sunday morning, according to NewsNation affiliate WKRN.

By the afternoon, the department said “all power should be restored.” It encouraged residents still without power to call 615-452-5152.
