DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. (NewsNation) — Three people are dead after a deadly boating accident Saturday night in the Tennessee River.

Two people, an 18-year-old male and a 20-year-old male, were originally reported missing, but their bodies were later recovered from the river near Bath Springs in Decatur County Sunday afternoon, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) confirmed.

The preliminary investigation by the TWRA indicated that a Baja boat with the three occupants collided with a barge while traveling downstream at about 9 p.m. Saturday. Officials said they were able to recover the body of a 57-year-old woman at the scene.

Decatur County EMA, Decatur County Rescue Squad, Decatur County Sheriff Department, Decatur County EMS, THP and multiple rescue squads from surrounding counties assisted in the search for the two men.
