MILWAUKEE, Wis. (NewsNation) A Milwaukee bus driver is being hailed a hero for potentially saving the life of a young, barely-clothed child who was running down one of the busiest streets in the city.
WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee reports that Keyon Finkley spotted the child while driving his route back in February.
Milwaukee County Transit Authority video shows the child walking barefoot along the road before Finkley pulls his bus over and grabs the child just before reaching Capitol Drive, which the authority called “the most dangerous road in Milwaukee.”
WTMJ reports the rescue was the fourteenth child rescued by a Milwaukee County Transit Authority driver in recent years.
The boy was uninjured and safely reunited with his family, according to police.
