CHICAGO (NewsNation Now) — As winter storms blanketed the Chicago area with snow, videos show snowboarders making the most of it by riding through its empty streets.

First on January 31 and then early Tuesday morning, when a winter storm blanketed the Chicago area with up to 17 inches of snow, videos posted to Instagram by user @dannybzab show snowboarders traversing its snowy streets while being pulled behind a vehicle.

Monday’s snowstorm in Chicago caused flight cancellations at local airports, delayed coronavirus vaccine supplies and forced the city to both cancel classes and close vaccination sites on Tuesday.
