Mom charged with threatening to shoot up Nashville school
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 39-year-old woman was taken into custody Thursday after she reportedly threatened to shoot up a elementary school in Nashville.
Metro police reported Sharina Panjwani called Carter Lawrence Elementary School on 12th Avenue South and said she was on her way to the campus with a gun.
Officers were there waiting when she arrived. According to Metro police, Panjwani said she was there to find out why her child had been missing and her daughter was unable to be found on multiple occasions.
Panjwani reportedly removed her daughter from the school after they were unable to locate her for an hour last school year. She re-enrolled the child this year. Panjwani said the school placed her daughter on the walkers list Thursday when she was supposed to be with the car riders.
During a phone call with school administrators, Panjwani said ‘I’m going to pull up and shootout if I need to,” along with other statements, according to court documents.
Panjwani was booked into the Metro jail and charged with threat of mass violence against a school and filing a false report. Her bond was set at $6,000.
