NANTUCKET, Mass. (WPRI) — The U.S. Coast Guard rescued an injured 50-year-old man from a fishing boat 150 nautical miles off the coast of Nantucket on Thursday.

A Jayhawk helicopter and an HC-144 Ocean Sentry were sent to rescue the man who suffered a large laceration to his face after a tight line was released and hit him.

A video from the Coast Guard shows the man being pulled up to the helicopter in a cage.

The man received first aid before he was taken to the hospital. The Coast Guard said he was stable.
