SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are looking for information after an amputated finger was found at an Ohio Walmart.
According to Sidney, Ohio, police, an officer responded to the Walmart in the 2400 block of West Michigan Street in Sidney for a reported amputated finger.
Upon arrival, what appeared to be an amputated finger was found by the officer, who took it to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. The coroner’s office determined it was a human finger believed to have belonged to a white woman.
“As of date, no medical providers can provide information that links the finger to any recent patient,” said Sidney police.
As of now, authorities do not suspect the finding is a result of a suspicious action. Until an explanation can be provided on how the finger got to the parking lot, the case is remaining open.
