OLD FORGE, Pa. (NewsNation) — President Donald Trump made his arrival Thursday in Northeast Pennsylvania where he took the podium at Mariotti Building Products in Old Forge.

“In 75 days we’re going to win this state. We’re going to win four more years,” said Trump. “They’ve had us under seige and we beat them, and we beat them and we keep beating them.”

Trump again accused former President Barack Obama of spying on his 2016 campaign.

“That’s about as bad a thing as you can imagine,” said Trump. “If that happened to another campaign, on the other side, they would have had 25 people in jail for many years already. It’s a disgrace.”

Trump’s visit to Old Forge — only a few miles away from Joe Biden’s hometown of Scranton — came just a few hours before Biden’s presidential nomination acceptance speech.

During the speech, Trump promoted his plans for a second term and economic success.

“The stock market just hit a new high. And don’t forget, we’ve been going through this horrible
plague from China,” he said.

Trump also weighed in on the arrest of his former advisor Steve Bannon during an interview with NewsNation affiliate WBRE. Bannon was charged Thursday with conspiracy to commit wire fraud in relation to a fundraising campaign to support the building of a U.S.-Mexico border wall. Bannon is also facing one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering for activities related to the “We Build The Wall” online fundraising campaign.

“We have nothing to do with that,” said Trump. “That was a project that was started with a group of people. But I know nothing about it, other than I was against it. And as you know I spoke out against it previously.”

Trump arrived at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport just before 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon, where he was greeted by a crowd of supporters.

Trump’s motorcade traveled through Lackawanna County where hundreds lined Moosic Road hoping to get a glimpse at the president.
