STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Michelle Troconis, who was found guilty in connection to the disappearance and death of Jennifer Farber Dulos, is due in Stamford Superior Court Monday on a contempt of court charge.

Troconis is accused of pulling up sealed child custody documents on her laptop during the trial on Feb. 15, making them available for the public and reporters to see. According to the warrant, a friend of Farber Dulos’ wrote a note to Inspector Dave Edwards stating that Troconis was displaying text from the child custody documents (described in the note as the Herman report) on her computer monitor in “about 70-point font.”

In a statement from the friend, she said that she saw Dr. Aaron Krasner mentioned as well as the words “borderline personality disorder,” “treating psychiatrist” and “Jennifer Dulos.”

The friend also said that Troconis displayed a news article on her monitor titled “Judge Finds Forensic Scientist Henry Lee Fabricated DNA Data in Murder Case,” according to the warrant.

After passing the note to Edwards, the friend said she saw Troconis’ mother, Marisela Arreaza, get her daughter’s attention, resulting in Troconis pulling the document down from her monitor.

In July, her attorney for this matter, Robert Frost, entered a not guilty plea on her behalf and filed two new motions. One calls for the videographer who provided the recording and stream of the trial to be a witness and testify about this. The other motion requests more information about the charge and allegations against her.

In May, Troconis was sentenced to 20 years in prison, suspended after 14-and-a-half years, for her role in the disappearance and death of Farber Dulos after a jury found her guilty on Mar. 1 of six counts.

Troconis and her family have maintained her innocence from the start.

“We’re just here to support my sister in these difficult times,” Claudia Troconis said after July’s hearing. “We’ll continue fighting for her and allow the proceedings to play out.”
