Ohio police investigating after man struck by bullet at country club
MEDINA, Ohio (WJW) – Medina police confirm to NewsNation affiliate WJW they are investigating after a man was struck by a bullet at the Medina Country Club around 11:25 a.m. on Sept. 21.
Police are saying very little about the incident other than no arrests have been made.
Police released the cover page of the incident report, which states the time, location and date of the incident. There is also one line under the narrative section that states, “male struck by bullet.”
A 30-second clip of police body camera video was released toWJW following a public record’s request.
The video shows a man sitting on the ground, holding his leg and golfers are standing near him.
On the body camera video, you can hear one witness tell police that they believe someone driving on a nearby street fired a shot and struck the victim.
“We heard a pop,” the witness told police. “We thought it was a golf ball but it wasn’t. “
We reached out to officials at the country club to discuss the matter, but have not yet heard back.
Police declined to release the full report, saying the matter remains under investigation.
