(NEXSTAR) — More than 129,000 Ram trucks are being recalled due to faulty turn signals, according to a notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The recall is limited to certain 2023-2024 Ram 1500 models, NHTSA says.

“The turn signal self-canceling feature may not function properly,” the agency explains. To fix the problem, affected Ram owners can have the steering column control module replaced for free at a dealer.

If your truck is impacted, the NHTSA says you will receive a notification letter, which are set to be mailed later this month.

In a statement to USA Today last week, a spokesperson for Stellantis, which owns Chrysler, said the recall was prompted by a company investigation brought on by customer feedback. There have been no reported injuries as a result of the bad steering column control modules, the statement continued.

Earlier this month, Stellantis issued a recall for nearly 200,000 Jeep plug-in hybrids over a fire risk.

How to check your vehicle for recalls

To determine if your vehicle has any recalls, you can use the NHTSA’s website.

There, you can enter the Vehicle Identification Number, or VIN, to review the recall data for the last 15 years.

You may receive no search results if your car has already been repaired, if it’s an international vehicle, or if the safety recall was conducted by a smaller manufacturer.
