3 arrested in shooting death of rapper Julio Foolio; 2 still at large
TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Tampa police announced multiple arrests Monday in the shooting that left Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio dead.
Sean Gathright, 18, Alicia Andrews, 21, and Isaiah Chance Jr., 21, were arrested in Jacksonville and charged with premeditated first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Additionally, 30-year-old Rashad Murphy and 27-year-old Davion Murphy have warrants out for their arrest.
The rapper, whose real name is Charles Jones, was gunned down at a Holiday Inn on Fowler Avenue on June 23. Police believe Jones was trying to get a room at the hotel after he was kicked out of an Airbnb while celebrating his 26th birthday.
The suspects are members of rival Jacksonville gangs that came together to plan and carry out the murder in Tampa, according to police. Tampa police have not yet released their mugshots.
Jones posted his location online multiple times before the shooting. The suspects are believed to have followed him from place to place before opening fire on his car at the Holiday Inn.
Three others were injured in the shooting and survived their injuries.
