Myrtle Beach woman accused of biting 11-year-old son during ‘drunken rage’

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A North Myrtle Beach woman was arrested after allegedly biting her 11-year-old son during a “drunken rage,” according to police records.

Sara Nordstrom, 45, was charged with cruelty to children. Online records show she was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Sunday and released Monday on a $5,000 bond.

Nordstrom is accused of biting her son in the back while she was “grossly intoxicated” last Thursday, an arrest warrant shows. She was allegedly verbally abusive and tripped him before biting him.

“Police observed a small area of blood/bruising below the skin without any obvious puncture marks that appeared appropriately recent for the alleged time frame and was in a location that would be implausible to self-inflict,” the warrant reads.

The boy’s stepfather confirmed to police he found him without a shirt or shoes hiding in the neighborhood clubhouse about two blocks from the home, according to the warrant.
