MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Myrtle Beach police have issued warrants for a man caught on video last week spraying protestors with a pressurized sprinkler outside of Solid Rock Church.

The person’s name is not included on an incident report completed June 30, but a description of the suspect’s shirt matches the incident that was recorded by a cell phone.

An officer arrived to the 803 Howard Ave. church around 2 p.m. where a group of people on the sidewalk were “performing a peaceful protest when an older wm (white male) wearing a teal shirt came outside of the church side door and picked up the pressurized sprinkler out of the grass, intentionally spraying victims 1-5,” the report says.

Authorities said the man “admitted to his actions due to wife’s frustrations.” Police said they issued a warrant for third-degree assault, and others are being sought.

On Sunday, barricades were set up around the church. Protestors have gathered outside of Solid Rock for weeks in the wake of Mica Miller‘s death. Authorities said the 30-year-old killed herself at Lumber River State Park on April 27.

Her husband John-Paul is Solid Rock’s founder and senior pastor. He refused to comment on the June 30 confrontation when contacted last week by News13.

News13 began investigating circumstances around Mica’s death shortly after her suicide as claims of domestic abuse surfaced — including John-Paul’s admissions of placing several GPS trackers on her vehicles and leaking an explicit photo of her online.

John-Paul has not been charged with any crime. Mica served him with divorce papers on April 25.
