ORLANDO (News Nation) – Walt Disney World has resumed ticket sales for its Florida theme park.

Tickets went on sale through its website Thursday, according to the official Disney blog, and the park is set to partially reopen on Saturday.

Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom will be the first areas of the park to open, followed by EPCOT and Hollywood Studios on July 15.

Once tickets are purchased, Disney said attendees will need to reserve a time to enter the park to help maintain social distancing.

The company also said bookings for Disney Resort Hotel have resumed.

Disney World closed in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. With its reopening, the company said new procedures will be in place to help keep parkgoers healthy.

The safety measures include temperature screenings, a requirement for face coverings for all guests over the age of 2, and ground markings to promote physical distancing. Disney will also limit capacity on their internal transportation.

Most attractions inside the park will be open to guests, but some theater shows will not operate. And other than a physically-distanced selfie, guests will not be allowed to take photos with characters like Mickey, Minnie and Goofy.
