Phoenix police deliver groceries after arresting DoorDash driver
- DoorDash driver was arrested on misdemeanor warrant
- Phoenix officers finished his grocery delivery
- Man arrested was 'compliant,' one officer said
(NewsNation) — Officers with the Phoenix Police Department in Arizona finished a grocery delivery after arresting a DoorDash driver.
The Phoenix Police Department posted a video on social media earlier this month showing them handing groceries to a surprised homeowner on their doorstep.
“The driver, he was being compliant with us. He’s being super chill. So, I took it upon myself to complete the sale for the driver,” Officer Eric Dilyard said Tuesday on “Morning in America.” “He gets happy for his sale and then the citizen gets happy for getting their groceries delivered.”
Dilyard said the driver was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant.
