TEXAS (WJHL)  — After six months apart and thousands of miles later, a dog named Blue and his owner have finally been reunited.

Blue went missing more than 200 days ago and his owner, Pat, searched for him, according to a post from a Tennessee animal shelter.

Unfortunately, Pat eventually had to move to Texas for work and was forced to realize that he would not see Blue again.

Months later, Pat saw a video of what he thought was his dog Blue playing at the Washington County animal shelter and instantly reached out.

Pat then drove 1,200 miles from Texas to reunite with his dog.

The shelter said stories like Pat and Blue’s are why they never give up on lost or homeless animals.
