CASTLE PINES, Colo. (NewsNation Now) — It was quite the scene on the streets in Castle Pines, Colorado, Friday night as hundreds of goats made a break for it.
The goats were in the area for fire mitigation and somehow the herd of 350 managed to escape from the electric fence bordering their pen.
A local family, the Perry’s, captured the goats on video. They also helped corral them away from a busy interstate highway with the assistance of their dog.
The co-owner of Goat Green told NewsNation affiliate KDVR, this happens from time to time and that it could have possibly been a bear in the area that knocked down the posts, allowing the herd to bust through the fence.
The goats eventually made it back home, completely unharmed.
