SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A California mansion once owned by acclaimed actor Clint Eastwood just hit the market.
The 11,400-square-foot, four-bed and four-and-a-half-bath Carmel-by-the-Sea property is listed at $21 million, according to a press release from Coldwell Banker Real Estate.
The gated property, one street away from Carmel Beach, has a view of the Pacific Ocean.
Coldwell Banker shared photos of the mansion:
According to the press release, the three-story home has an indoor living space of about 4,500 square feet as well as a two-car garage.
The property was built 100 years ago in 1924 and rebuilt by the current owner in 1998, according to Coldwell Banker.
Eastwood, 94, lived at the mansion from 1981 to 1996.
During that time, the San Francisco native even served as Carmel-by-the-Sea’s mayor from 1986 to 1988.
At $21 million, the ex-Eastwood mansion is the most expensive on the market in Carmel-by-the-Sea, according to Zillow and Redfin.
“My family has loved living and entertaining at this iconic property for nearly three decades. Right after we purchased the home, we rebuilt the interior spaces, adding in an Arts and Crafts style by installing Mahogany wood finishes, Cherry wood floors, and other elements that were interesting to me,” current homeowner Frederick M. O’Such said in a news release. “It is time for the next owner to enjoy this historic home and share it with their friends and family for years to come.”
