‘Honolulu is the safest place to visit in the world’: Survey

HONOLULU (KHON2) — According to a survey conducted by Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection, Honolulu is the safest place to visit in the world.

The survey said even Honolulu’s worst-ranked scores in some categories are the highest of other destinations.

Tourism officials credit law enforcement agencies for their efforts to address crime, particularly in Waikiki.

Also, the Safe and Sound program.

Troublemakers are getting arrested and being taken off the street. Whether it’s drugs whether its assaults whether its breaking into cars they’re all down and that’s because of everybody focused on it

The survey is based on visitor responses, as well as third party research on topics including overall safety, health measures, and natural disaster risk.
