America remembers Pearl Harbor | On Balance
Pearl Harbor survivors returned to the Hawaii naval base 82 years after Japan’s bombing propelled the U.S. into World War II. Only five survivors were able to attend a remembrance ceremony for the more than 2,300 servicemen killed on Dec. 7, 1941. Chief Washington anchor Leland Vittert said, "The problem with forgetting the past is we forget the lessons of the past. America in the '20s and '30s had turned its back on the world. Sounds familiar." #History #Hawaii #PearlHarbor
