Florida lawmakers have approved a bill prohibiting children younger than 16 from downloading social media apps. The measure, designated as HB1, overwhelmingly passed the Florida House with a vote of 106 in favor and only 13 opposed. Sponsors of the bill assert that it aims to combat sexual predators and address the escalating mental health challenges faced by Florida's youth.
