(NewsNation) — Sarasota, Florida, was spared the worst of Hurricane Ian, but some 200,000 residents in Sarasota County were still without power Thursday.

City of Sarasota Vice Mayor Kyle Battie said emergency crews were out in the city conducting damage assessments and most residents are “in good spirits.”
