🔴 An extradition hearing will be held for the 17-year-old from Illinois involved in the fatal shooting of two protesters and the wounding of a third in Kenosha, Wisconsin, during a night of unrest following the weekend police shooting of Jacob Blake. Kyle Rittenhouse faces several charges in Wisconsin. He would face a mandatory life sentence if convicted of first-degree intentional homicide, the most serious crime in Wisconsin. The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. (CT).

🔴 ‘Get Your Knee Off Our Necks’ Commitment March on Washington, organized by the National Action Network and the family of George Floyd to demonstrate their ‘commitment to fighting for policing and criminal justice’ will begin this morning at 11 a.m. (ET). The march takes place on the 57th anniversary of the March on Washington and Martin Luther King Jr.’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech.

🔴 California Gov. Gavin Newsom is scheduled to give an update on the wildfires burning across the state at 3 p.m. (ET). As of Thursday evening, there were 21 fires in California, which have burned more than 1.3 million acres.

🔴 President Donald Trump will be holding a campaign event in New Hampshire this evening. Vice President Mike Pence will be making campaign stops in the Midwest.

🔴 This evening, Black Lives Matter activists are holding their first Black National Convention. The virtual event will adopt a political agenda calling for slavery reparations, universal basic income, environmental justice and legislation that entirely re-imagines criminal justice reform.
