Trump Florida suspect: Ryan Routh, the man authorities say staked out Trump for 12 hours on his golf course in Florida and admitted his desire to kill the former president in a letter, is expected to be arraigned Monday. Routh was initially charged with two federal firearms offenses for the Sept. 15 incident, where investigators say he aimed a rifle at Trump through the golf course’s shrubbery before the Secret Service shot in Routh’s direction. Georgia chemical plant fire forces evacuations

Chemical plant fire: Some people living east of Atlanta evacuated their homes Sunday while others were urged to shelter in place to avoid contaminants from a chemical plant fire that sent a massive plume of smoke into the sky. The blaze has also shut down traffic on Interstate 20 and businesses in the area have been asked to close. The fire started when a sprinkler head malfunctioned at around 5 a.m. Sunday at the BioLab plant in Conyers. Cartels: Two Mexican drug cartels are primarily responsible for flooding the U.S. with fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that is between 50 and 100 times stronger than morphine that’s killing over 200 Americans daily, authorities say. The Sinaloa and Jalisco cartels have established a sophisticated supply chain, sourcing precursor chemicals from China and manufacturing fentanyl in clandestine Mexican labs before smuggling it across the U.S. border, according to Drug Enforcement Administration reports.
