(NewsNation) — Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have reportedly called it quits again.
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to a report from TMZ.
Tuesday coincidentally marked the couple’s two-year anniversary since their Georgia wedding ceremony. Court documents indicate that the two have been separated since April, TMZ reports.
TMZ also reports Lopez doesn’t say in her documents whether there’s a prenup, and sources with knowledge tell TMZ there is indeed no prenuptial agreement.
This is the second time the couple has formally called it quits. Lopez and Affleck were together in the early 2000s after meeting on the set of the film “Gigli.” Their romance grabbed tabloid headlines, which is when their nickname of “Bennifer” began. The two were engaged and then called it quits in 2004.

Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez divorce no longer rumor?
Rumors Affleck and Lopez were heading toward divorce have been swirling for months as the famous couple have repeatedly appeared in public looking less than excited to be together.
Affleck, 51, and Lopez, 54, first started dating in 2002 after starring in the movie “Gigli” together. Affleck and Lopez planned to marry in 2003 but canceled the wedding and broke up in 2004.
Both Lopez and Affleck went on to marry other people and have children, but they eventually reunited, went public with their relationship and got married in Las Vegas in 2022.
Now, it looks as though the rumor mills were accurate.
After reports first started to surface Lopez and Affleck are taking time apart, TMZ reported on their plans to quietly try and sell the $60 million Beverley Hills home they bought in 2023 after they got married.
According to NewsNation’s Paula Froelich, Lopez and Affleck even spent Mother’s Day apart, with Lopez in Paris with her child Emme and Affleck 5,600 miles away in Los Angeles celebrating with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner and their children.
Affleck had reportedly already moved out of the house, shifting to a rental in Brentwood that better suits him.
Affleck was using his separation from Jennifer Lopez to throw himself into work, a Froelich source said.
Friends had been worried about Affleck falling back into addiction during this stressful time. According to IMDB, Affleck has over 25 projects currently in the works in various stages of pre-, mid and post-production.

“Unstoppable,” a new sports drama co-starring Lopez and produced by Affleck, will have its world premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival in September.
“Unstoppable” is being produced by Affleck’s production company, Artists Equity, which he co-founded with Matt Damon. William Goldenberg, who edited “Argo,” “Live by Night,” and “Air” for Affleck, is set to make his directorial debut on the project, according to IndieWire.
Amid reports divorce papers have been filed, it is now improbable the famous couple will attend the premiere together.
