(NewsNation) — The search for 51-year-old Suzanne Simpson has entered week two, and Texas authorities are now searching a landfill, according to local reports.

This is now the third location investigators are combing through since Simpson’s disappearance Oct. 6.

Last week, authorities searched the area near Simpson’s Olmos Park home and an area in Boerne, Texas, the San Antonio Express-News reported.

Simpson, a mother of four and a real estate agent, disappeared after an alleged fight with her husband Brad Simpson.

A neighbor who witnessed Suzanne and Brad’s alleged fight reportedly heard screaming outside the couple’s home. He said he saw a “physical altercation” and that screams could be heard before Brad Simpson drove off in his pickup truck.

The 53-year-old did not report his wife missing for roughly 24 hours after she was last seen. He has since been arrested on family violence and unlawful restraint charges. However, there is still no evidence linking Brad Simpson to his wife’s disappearance.

Brad Simpson remained at the Bexar County jail Friday on bond totaling $2 million, according to local reports.

“I just don’t understand. I don’t understand why it happened. It wasn’t part of their life,” Barbara Clark, Suzanne’s mother, told San Antonio’s KSAT-TV. “She called me up and told me things Brad had done to her physically. Well, I came up with an alternative plan for her that she would move in with me. I never got to tell her the plan.”

Suzanne Simpson’s family posted to Facebook, thanking multiple law enforcement agencies, saying in part, “To all of you who have reached out with love and encouragement … please know that your support means the world to us. We will not stop until we find her.”

Clark has told several news outlets that she doesn’t believe her daughter is alive.

Meanwhile, Brad Simpson is expected in court Tuesday. Law enforcement agencies say he has not been cooperating with investigators.
