(NewsNation) — The Democratic Party’s vice presidential nominee, Tim Walz, will make his first solo outing on very friendly territory this evening.
Walz will be welcomed by an affable audience inside the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees International Convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
There, he will be speaking to 4,000 union members, municipal workers, nurses and janitors.
Democratic supporters are eager to hear from him and expect him to mention the very popular idea of no tax on tips, something both major party candidates agree on.
Following events in California, Walz will travel to blue-friendly states Colorado, New York, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
According to the White House, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will appear together in Maryland on Thursday, their first campaign event since Biden left the race.
Sources inside the White House have said Biden will spend his last days in the White House securing his own legacy while also helping Harris in an attempt to keep a Democratic leader in the Oval Office.
